Community Awards celebrate Horfield and Lockleaze's unsung heroes

The Horfield and Lockleaze Community Awards are held annually and this year they were held in Horfield for the first time.

All the winners and those short-listed were invited to the event, held this year at Ebenezer Church where they were treated to a meal in addition to the presentation evening.

Set up by this publication two years ago the Awards set out to celebrate those people who make Horfield and Lockleaze such a great place to live. Whether it is friendly shop staff, the teachers who inspire, the neighbours who take in parcels, cut our grass or cheer us up, the group leaders for scouts, sports and sewing groups, and so many more people who freely give their time and energy to make this a better place to live.

The Horfield and Lockleaze Voice salutes you all.
