Hope for Civil Service sports ground
Last month we brought you the story of how the Civil Service Sports Ground face the very real threat of closure.
This month we can report that the news is a little brighter After strenuous efforts by the club committee, and a trip up to the CSSC AGM in Birmingham in June, the club has been reprieved until the end of April 2019. This means that all bookings will be honoured (so there are some happy brides-to-be and people coming up to big birthdays!) and all the sports teams will be able to fulfil their winter league commitments, and is a very heartening development.
They are not out of the woods yet, though, and are working hard on producing an ambitious business plan to show that the club will be viable for the next 3 years and long into the future.
