Community Awards night will follow "Our Lockleaze" event
The second six-monthly “Our Lockleaze” event is being held on Saturday, 29th September at the new Lockleaze Sports Centre, starting at 4pm.
Lockleaze’s new Community Plan will be presented at the event. It has been developed to represent the views, hopes and aspirations of Lockleaze residents. Information gleaned from meetings, conversations and responses to the Community Survey carried out by Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust last year has been pooled together to create this comprehensive document.
All the various groups involved in Lockleaze will have a table at the event where people attending will have the opportunity to discuss the plan.
Bristol City Council has worked in partnership with residents and local groups to develop this vision into a blueprint for long term cooperation. Nevertheless, the views and aspirations within this document are those of the residents themselves and it is for the Council and other agencies to work in partnership with the community to turn these priorities into reality.
After the holding of the “Our Lockleaze” event the second annual Horfield and Lockleaze Community Awards will be held, at the same venue from 6.30pm. This is where our community acknowledges and celebrates local people who have given something back to our community, overcome a personal obstacle or just gone that extra mile.
The bar at the Sports Centre will be open.
